End of January Blog Review

IMDb 250 Update
I watched 5 weeks worth of films (counting Feb 1st and 2nd), which added up to 13 films. I saw the following films, in no particular order: Casino, The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, Toy Story, Toy Story 3, Pulp Fiction, Braveheart, The Green Mile, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, The Truman Show, Ip Man, and Groundhog Day.

I’ve decided to forgo the long review format for the sake of time. I found myself writing out 1500 words and spending a significant amount of time for each movie, which I could not possibly sustain over the long haul. I might do some reviews of the movies I find particularly significant, but we’ll see. Instead, thanks to my cousin’s husband (crouther-in-law?) Greg Bender who is blogging something very similar to what I am doing, I will be moving to a shorter, punchier format to be able to update on each film as I view them. Starting with Groundhog Day on Saturday, you’ll start seeing those.

Morning Brew Update
I love the Morning Brew’s, and I plan on keeping them up. However, I am moving towards having Monday’s be “Music Mondays”, where all the news is music related and also having “Film Reel Fridays” where all links will be movie related. In conjunction, my posts for Mondays and Fridays will reflect those themes, as well. I find that I have a lot of music and film updates and I want to be able to share them for your tasty consumption. The rest of the week will have a different, more serious and pastoral/theological flavor to the articles linked.

Blog Update
Lastly, I am moving my blog to WordPress. I have people asking about viewing the blog posts on their phones, and Blogger is really bad at being able to display mobile blogs.  WordPress is a much better overall platform and manager of the blog and looks a lot nicer. So, look for a post update this weekend or Monday with the new RSS feed and a change in the look of the blog.

I absolutely love the nature of blogs and the ability to experiment, drop and then keep going. My hope is to continue blogging and blogging and share movies, music, and news with you and keep up my writing here. Stay tuned, this is just starting to get fun.
